We believe that there is one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that exists. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and full of truth. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent – one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that humankind was created in the image of God to deeply know and enjoy Him, yet man willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin. We believe the Son of God, Jesus Christ, willingly offered once and for all the one supreme sacrifice for the sins of the world—a perfect sacrifice through which He has made us perfectly holy and complete in justification, sanctification, and glorification. Salvation is found in His name alone, for there is no one else who has the power to save us; there is no other name by which people can be eternally saved from sin and death, and restored to relationship with God. We believe that personal repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential for the eternal salvation of sinful, lost humans. (Jn. 1:12; Jn. 3:16; Acts 17:30; 2 Pet. 3:9; Eph. 1:7–8; Eph. 2:8–9; 1 Cor. 15:20–22; 2 Cor. 5:17–21; Rom. 6:23; Heb. 10:1–18; 1 Jn. 5:11–13)
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring God’s kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today in the presence of God the Father and His people. He is fully God and fully man.
We believe that we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God by repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts us as we enter the kingdom of God as His sons and daughters. Romans 6:11 says we are in “unbroken fellowship with Him”…our revelation of His love manifests this truth to us in our natural realm.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4, is poured out on believers that they might have God’s power to be His witnesses. We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is fully divine and proceeds from the Father and the Son, co-equal and co-eternal with the Godhead; his full participation in the activity of the Godhead, from creation to salvation-history to the consummation of all things; his present, ongoing ministry through God’s people after having been given to the church at Pentecost; his indwelling and empowering of Christians, enabling them to live a life of godliness and effective service for Christ. (Jn. 14:15–27; Jn. 16:7–15; Rom. 8:1–27; Gal. 4:16–26)
We believe the victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, lies, sickness, and torment. It is our goal as believers to unwrap and explore and grow in the revelation of that finished work.
We believe that the Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God’s love, and discipling the nations – baptizing and teaching them God’s love and in turn, how to love and obey God.
We believe that God’s love is unconditional and for His people, and that we are transformed as we experience and encounter that love. We do not believe that truth is meant to be known merely logically and conceptually but experientially and emotionally.
We believe that God loves and forgives and is for His people.
We believe in the ever-increasing government of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign with His overcoming bride – the Church.
We believe that our beliefs govern our lives. If we can encounter God’s love, grab hold of truth, and affect our belief systems, then we can live transformed.
